Rooms and Facilities

Cocoa Cottages, a two-story lodge and a nearby Honeymoon suite, surrounded by tropical forest and numerous fruit trees, is designed for rustic luxury with 6 private rooms. Each has its own bathroom and a porch design to incorporate nature as its integral part. Rooms are all different in style. (Click the room photos below to see a larger view.)

Our Lalin Myel (Honeymoon Suite), is a hexagonal shape room incorporating all around glass windows, a stained concrete floor, and local hardwood king size bed.

Foufou Room, the first room built. Here you’ll have the first experience of sleeping in a 4-poster bed made with hard wood of the gray barked Hymenea Coubaril tree. During colonial times a wedding gift of such a bed would bring much envy.

The Bwabwa Room consists of two 4-poster double beds and can sleep four. It is a gathering room for kids so grownups can enjoy a little privacy while their young ones can enjoy a variety of books games and music.

The Jwa Room (Master Suite) is located on the second floor and creatively combines wood and natural unpainted stonework with a hardwood floor. The door to the bathroom is richly textured out of the wooden Roseau reeds and smooth driftwood foraged from around the island.

The Kako Room is where you’ll find yourself laying in bed and gazing at our famous cocoa trees.

The Petulia Room with its louvered wall lets you feel as if you're sleeping among the tree tops.

The Kitchen and Dining area was designed as an open structure with two huge concrete fish tanks, for a complete immersion in nature. Sit and enjoy a delicious meal on a table held up by bamboo shoots that appear to be sprouting out of the ground, while watching birds and butterflies having their morning snack or the rain rinsing yesterday’s dust.

Our “TV room” is the main hub of all activities. Recline on hand-carved wooden chairs and gaze at vibrant colors of the forest around. There is always something good on.
