Canyoning is the most exciting new adventure sport to hit the US and the Caribbean.

Throughout the year, canyoning in Dominica offers a great way to explore the hidden depths of these natural wonders, while at the same time, enjoying the fun and adventure of an exciting activity. Cannoning usually involves jumping into pools; wading and swimming, climbing and scrambling over log jams and rappelling through waterfalls. There is enough variety to cater for all levels of experience and fitness.

For the truly daring, this is an adventure not to be missed! Rock hop and rappel

You'll put on a wetsuit and helmet, then brace yourself. This is the place. Over the next few hours, we trek down through a lush forested river gorge, deep spectacular canyons and lots of water. Think "Rambo" wading through rivers, over fallen trees and rocks.

Imagine yourself in surrounded by lush rainforest atop a magical canyon; full of tropical waterfalls with surprises each step of the way. This awesome canyon is located a short distance from the town of Roseau and is divided into three sections - all have an easy access from the road. Prepare to get wet as your experienced guides assist you as you make your way down a series of 8 amazing rappels!

Your Choice of Activities:

Canyoning - Three canyons to choose from, all the canyons are spectacular and have some amazing water falls to rappel down.
Hike to the boiling lake and visit the hot waterfalls where most people don’t go.
Tour of the SE side of the island include Victoria Falls,
Tour of the NE side of the island include Secrete beach (decent down a cliff to a secluded beach with its own waterfall cascading down to a black sandy beach.
Tubing in the Layou River.
Whale watching - Visit the pod of seven whales and schools of Dolphins that inhabit the Dominica’s shoreline.

Price per person, double occupancy: 3 nights /4 days is US $842, 6 nights/7 days is US $1484.

About Us Professional Guides & Equipment

Extreme Dominica is located in the Roseau Valley ten minutes from town and in the center of all the action, offering rock climbing, rappelling and rappelling.

We are a small group of local guides certified and instructed by TI Mountaineering, a well-known company in the American climbing circles.

Safety is our main priority and we all have a great respect for Mother Nature. It may be necessary under certain situations to change location depending on weather and rainfall.

What to Bring with You

We recommend comfortable shoes that can get wet and still have a good grip, i.e., dive booties with a soft sole or canyoning shoes, swim suit, long legged wet suit that prevent scrapes, a sweat shirt as it can get cold, sun screen, a hat and camera.

We will supply you with safety helmets, harnesses and all necessary equipment for rappelling and climbing, life jackets and waterproof bag. Wet suits can be rented. Food will also be arranged for day trips and camping equipment for overnight adventures.

What to Expect

Our canyoning adventures take place at five different locations. We offer a 4-Hour Adventure that gives you a rush of adrenaline and prepares you for another day of action.

Rapelling Trafalgar

For those who are really adventurous, we also offer an overnight experience under the stars.

Our adventure starts with a hike, topped by an entertaining mid-Forest crash course on rappelling and related subjects.

Adventures of a lifetime we can take you on!
Beyond Ti Tou Gorge
A four-hour adventure, a short walk through the rainforest that then descends into a magnificent canyon with pools, waterfalls and cascades.
Beyond Cocoa Cottage
A short walk from Cocoa Cottage into the valley beyond leads you to the magnificent Middleham Falls River. Walk, climb, and swim through this magnificent river to meet one of Dominica's most imperial waterfalls, Middleham Falls.
Beyond Boiling Lake
From the virgin rainforest descend to the Valley of Desolation. From there follow the hot, white water of the White River as it leads to the far side of Boiling Lake. Experience the hot cascading water that's at a perfect temperature for bathing. A short 60-foot climb and you will have reached one of Dominica's crown jewels.

Scenic Flights

Extreme Dominica has its own 6-seater aircraft located at Canefield Airport.

Enjoy an hour of seeing Dominica from the air. You will see:

its impenetrable cliffs
